People post bids up on auction sites online and at the end of the auction the person with the highest bid gets the object bid on.

Perfect Gifts for Every Person and Every Occasion –If you need to buy a present for someone and aren’t sure what they like, give them a gift certificate so they can choose for themselves!

A wish list is always part of a good quality shopping site.  It is a little section that, once you have signed in, allows you to save items that you want, so that you can come back at later times to order them.

Looking at a whole range of items and prices on a specific topic—such as mystery books, or dress shoes.

Type in the product you're looking for and you'll get prices from multiple stores, letting you easily find the ones with the best deals.  These sites search for you, but they don’t sell anything.

2 Security Tips

1) Always stick with a site that is well-known.  Don’t shop on obscure sites where you don’t see any kind of stated

policies, return information, copyrights, or security information.

2) Don’t give out your credit card number unless you are actually purchasing something.  Bad shopping sites might ask for it

just so you can browse, for example.  I haven’t encountered any, personally, but don’t trust a site that does.
