5 Sites
that offer Music Lesson Plans for Elementary Students
1) Music Lesson Plans Page - http://www.lessonplanspage.com/Music.htm
This site includes lots of lesson plans for specific grades
(K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7, and junior/high school).
It is directed at teachers who teach general/vocal music, not
instrumental. It covers lessons on
dance, instruments, composition, musical mood, expression, and emotion, musical
melody & rhythm, speed & tempo, scales & symbols, music history
& literature, musicians, singing, and other multiple topics. Everything listed here is available in every
grade!
2) Lesson Planet – www.lessonplanet.com
Lists possible lesson plan choices, such as
Blues Lesson Plans, Choir plans, Ragtime plans, orchestra, theory, folk music,
etc. A little harder to find specific grades, but
still probably worth the effort…The only downside is you have to pay around $15
a year to have access to all of the plans.
3) Teacher
Vision - http://www.teachervision.fen.com/tv/browse.php?term=260000000000
Starts with links to different grades,
then asks you to click on your specific topic, music, then lists 10 topics of
lesson plans in music for each grade, such as history of music, musical forms,
music styles, music notation. Then you
choose what topic you want to cover but further clicking.
4) The Educator’s
Reference Desk - http://www.eduref.org/cgi-bin/lessons.cgi/Arts/Music
