Introduction:
Holidays are a
perfect excuse for a party and/or get together!! We celebrate many holidays – Christmas, Hanukkah,
St. Patrick’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Kwanzaa, Halloween, 4th of July,
Memorial Day, Labor Day, New Year’s, Martin Luther King Day, etc.
Ethnic groups and
religious groups all celebrate different holidays, but a lot of people do not
truly understand the reason for the celebration. Is Halloween just to dress-up and receive
candy? Is Valentine’s Day for
lovers? Is Christmas just for getting
presents? Over time most holidays have
lost their true meaning. Everyone knows
they are celebrated, but few know why they are recognized.
