Introduction Blogging – It’s a term that you hear
everywhere you go these days, on television, the radio, the grocery store, your
kids have probably been talking about it for months. What exactly is blogging
anyway? And why is it suddenly more
popular than ever?
Blogging,
or web logging, is a fairly recent phenomenon that allows the user to keep an
on-line journal of their thoughts and opinions, and often asks for input on
those thoughts from other users.
Blogging
has actually been in use since around 1994 but teachers are just starting to
realize the potential of blogging in the classroom.
In
this session, students will learn more about the history and basics of blogging
and will also begin to explore the benefits of blogging in the classroom.
Activity The

links in order to gain a better understanding of the blogging phenomenon.
