In class we have begun out unit on surrealism. You will be creating your own surrealist landscape. Before you start sketching, I would like you to visit the following websites to learn more about surrealism and to see some examples.

Answer the following questions based on your reading. Write your answers in you sketchbook.

1. Who influenced the surrealist and what were they interested in portraying in their art?

2. Pick one artist and write down three interesting facts about their art or their life.

3. On the second page look at the examples of surrealist art. Write down three commonalities between the pieces that define them as surrealist art.
