Cubism or Fauvism?

After the impressionist movements, most artists fell
into one of two categories: form or color. This separation came to a head in the early twentieth
century in two distinct art movements: cubism and fauvism. We have discusses these movements some
in class but now I want you to visit the websites below. Read the articles and
look at some examples of the movement.

artist and date. Follow the links below and examine the images. Tell me which movement each painting
fits in and why it fits in that movement. Note any similarities and
differences.
