SLM 521: Summer 2005

Objective:
Research and explore the use of Blogs for the
educational purposes in the classroom (ISTE #II B, C, E #III C)
Objective: Demonstrate knowledge of Blogs to validate on opinion
by posting on blogspot.com
Introduction: What is a Blog? It seems as though this new
vocabulary word has suddenly become the cool thing. A Blog is
an ‘easy-to-use’ website where anyone with a computer can
create a profile containing personal information.
It creates a ‘personal diary’ and gives you the opportunity to
voice your own opinions on topics, collect and
share with others,
interact with others, and share photos.
Activities: Those who are
exposed to the Internet, may have already have created a personal Blog or the
word ‘Blog’ may
be completely foreign to you. In either case doing research on the topic before hand is
important. Below are
some general websites that deal with the introduction of
Blogs as well as parents opinion of youth having free
access to Blog profiles.
