I chose this elective because I like to play games on my computer while I am waiting for things to download or someone to type back. I have never played games on the internet though. I chose to go to a site called Vinco Online Games located at http://www.VOGClub.com. I had never heard of that site before so I thought I would check it out. I didn’t really think their choice of games was that good.

I tried all the games at least once. I was no good at most of them. Actually, I did so poorly, that I am not going to give the sad details. I bombed chess, othello, and backgammon, but then I saw hearts. I signed up to play, but there was no one in the room so I played with three computer robots. It had been a while since I played hearts, but it all came back to me, or so I thought it did. I scored 15 on my first match and thought that I was doing pretty well. I continued to rack up the points, getting scores in the 20's. Then I got the feeling that this was too easy, so I decided to read the rules and saw that the goal is to get no points at all. So I went back to the table and decided to try my luck the right way this time. By that time I was already up to 68 points and when you get to 100, you bust and the game is over. The next game was better, I only got 4 points but my goal was to get 0 points and let the others catch up to me. I never got zero and I busted after just three more rounds, with 111 points. Everyone else had scores in the 40's. Now that I knew the rules, I wanted to do one more match and see how I fared against the others.

This time I won with 47 points and I wanted to play more but it is so late and I have church tomorrow morning. This is definitely addictive, I could play this all night long. They make it very easy to sign up and it is fun and interactive. I got to talk to a couple people at the chess game, they were giving me hints and trying to help me. I enjoyed this experience but I am going to try to stay away from these sites in the future. It wastes too much of my time.
