Eric Carle

As a class, we have read many books by Eric Carle. We have talked about his amazing technique for illustrations. I would like you to go to his web page and read his answer to the question, How do you make your pictures?. After you have read the answer, I want you to create your own piece of tissue paper, using his technique. Be sure to use different objects to paint on your tissue paper.

1. Tell me what color you made your tissue paper.

2. Tell which items you used to create your paper.

3. Also tell which item was your favorite.

We will then use the paper you created, as a class, to create a character from one of the many stories we have read.
