The Secret Knowledge of Grown-ups by David Wisniewski

Grown-ups are always telling kids to follow the rules. Sometimes they even tell you why. But here's the secret... {they're not always telling you the whole truth!} Want to know why they really want you to do things like "Eat your vegetables!"? Read this funny book and find out! You can find it in the non-fiction section, filed under 818 Wis.

Marguerite makes a Book by Bruce Robertson

Many years ago, books were fancy and rare. Every book was made without machines. Beautiful paints were used, and gold, and each was pressed and stitched together by hand before getting a strong cover. Marguerite's Papa Jacques is getting older, and it is hard for him to make the beautiful books many days. One day his glasses break, but an important book must be made. Marguerite is sure she can do it, so she begins, without telling her father. Watch and read about how she creates the beautiful pages and puts them together. Will she finish in time? Will her Papa Jacques be angry? Or proud?
