There is a debate going on that wonders whether Shakespeare really did write all those plays. Some people doubt that with Shakespeare's lack of education that he could have become so prolific a writer. There are many theories, but one of the most popular is that another great writer of the time, Sir Frances Bacon, was actually the master playwright who gave us Romeo and Juliet and Othello.  To read arguments for both sides, click on the portraits of Shakespeare and Bacon below.
