Constellations
Constellations are a vital part of the study of astronomy. They are stars in the sky that form together to make shapes or pictures. Over the years, astronomers have named these shapes. These shapes are what we call, constellations. There are many constellations. Each and every one is unique.
Please review the website http://www.astro.wisc.edu/~dolan/constellations/ and answer the following questions:
1) Read about the constellation Draco and then write a description.
2) What is the distance of the star, Vega?
3) What is your favorite constellation and why?
4) Devise a chart that includes each calendar month. For each month name a constellation that is very bright in the sky during that month.
