Frogs

We are going to start a unit about frogs. To start this unit we are going to learn about and discuss the life cycle of a frog. After we have completed this assignment we will be studying the different types of frogs. Although there are many different types of frogs, they all go through the same life cycle. This site gives a detailed description of the steps within a frogs life cycle.

Answer the following questions after viewing the website.

1. How many stages are there in a frogs life cycle? Provide characteristics of the frog at each stage.

2. Why do frogs lay a large number of eggs?

3. How many weeks does it take a frog to complete their growth cycle?

4. At what stage does the frog venture out of the water?

5. Do frogs have teeth? If yes, what do frogs use them for?

Answer all of the questions in your science notebook. List any additional information you found interesting about a frogs life cycle.
