Internet Course Module

 

Objective: Students will be able to create their own website that can be used by students. Students will also be able to research other teacher - made websites. 

 

Introduction:  The internet is a tool that is greatly utilized by students and teachers. Both students and teachers are able to find a wide variety of information on an endless amount of topics through the internet. Through this module teachers will be able to create websites that will supply information for their students.

 

Activity: Students are required to search the internet for teacher-made websites. Students will then create their own basic website that can be used by other students. In order to complete this activity students are going to have to complete their own search on how to create a website.  Students will also need to review the following sites before creating their own websites.

Assignment: Your assignment is to create a basic website that provides information for students. The website must contain the following information:

 

·        Your name

·        Class/subject title

·        Your e-mail address

·        Class Syllabus

·        Grading Scales

·        Class calendar (one month)

·        Weekly Classroom Assignments

·        Include three pieces of clipart

 

Submission: Post your website as an html file to the McDaniel server or email to your instructor as a Microsoft word document.
