Five reasons to use translation in the classroom:

Non-English speaking students in any classroom could benefit from translating text, instructions, notes, lessons, and tests.

Foreign Language teachers could use translation in all aspects of their class.

Translation could be used to find the origins of words, terms, and vocabulary.

In the art classroom the teacher could use translation to make information seem authentic. The teacher could translate a quote from an artist into their native language.

The art teacher could also make up a newspaper headline/article about an artist. Then the teacher could use translation to put it in the artist’s native language and include the English translation. This would make the newspaper headline/article look authentic. The students would also be exposed to a different culture this way.
