Games
Going over the syllabus for this elective I thought this assignment would be all fun and games. Well let me tell you it was not, at least not at first. I signed onto the Yahoo!Games site. I choose a name and password. The games would not access for me. So I decided to try a different site. I logged onto vogclub.com. I signed in, received a name and password, then tried to play. Vogclub instantly informed me that I did not have the necessary software to play the games. After hesitation on my part, I clicked on install. Wrong move. The software was not successfully installed. Now I get emails from this company. I explained my dilemma to a friend. She suggested another site to me, Wheel of Fortune. I logged onto http://www.wheeloffortune.com. I went to the play game link and clicked. Now more software needs to be downloaded.
Hours after starting the process, shockwave software is downloaded. I am now ready to play Wheel of Fortune! I choose to be the only female player. I expected to be playing against the other two male choices, but I was the only one. The sounds and effects were great. I feel as if I am actually on television. As the wheel spins, I wait in anticipation. It stops on $400. The crowd cheers. I pick a letter but it is not in the puzzle. Sighs come over the crowd. The game proceeds and I cannot solve the puzzle. In fact, I continue playing and still cannot solve any of the puzzles. If I was watching this sight on the television, I would exclaim, “Come on, that is an easy one.” It must be stage fright. I do better while watching the television show. Maybe I just need more practice. Practice makes perfect you know.
