Dress Codes:
Free Expression or Censorship?
For
the past couple of years dress codes have been popping up all over our
schools. While this may not be a shock
to you, your freedom of speech may soon be taken away from you when it comes to
the even what you wear. How would you
like to walk into school one day, and be sent home, merely by the T-shirt you
are wearing? Does the school have the
right to tell you what you can or cannot wear?
When does what you are wearing cross the line?
For
this assignment we will be taking a look at some different articles that will
give different outlooks on what should be done about dress codes, rules, legal
look, and a case that has a surprising outcome.
Look at this assignment with a clear head, not one of that of a
student….. Imagine you are a parent, teacher, or administrator. I hope you will enjoy these articles, and
will get an idea of what goes into dress codes.

¨You
will then come up with 5 PROS and 5 CONS for your argument. So for the FOR group: Pros of having a dress
