Presidential Research Questions:

 

 

In order to make a persuasive case for your president being the fifth “face” on Mt. Rushmore, your group needs to find out what this president accomplished that made the U.S. a better place for all Americans.  It would be advisable for each group to divide this list of questions among its members.  By doing this, it will make the individual workload far easier to handle for everyone in the group.  So, here they are!  Good luck!

 

1.     Where and when was your president born?

2.     What educational background did he have?

3.     Did he serve in the military?  What did he do?

4.     What did he do before entering politics?  Did he serve the government in a non-military capacity?

5.     How did he enter politics and when?

6.     What political party did he belong to?  Was he always a member of this party?

7.     How was he elected president?  By what margin?  How many terms did he serve?

8.     Did he make any great speeches?  What were they?

9.     What are his achievements domestically while president?

10.                       What are his achievements in foreign relations?  Are they diplomatic or military?

11.                       What are his achievements economically?

12.                       How popular was he with the American people?  Other nations?

13.                       What is considered his most significant accomplishment as president?  What is he most known for?
