Writing Trait #4 – Word Choice
INTRODUCTION:
Writers
create a picture with the words that they use. The better a reader can
visualize a writerŐs work, the better his understanding of the writerŐs
meaning. It is your job as a writer to create the most vivid, accurate picture
for your reader.
You
can do this by using strong and clear words: verbs, adjectives, nouns, etc.
Think of yourself as showing the reader your story rather than simply telling
it!
