This is a list of five Web Quest that I found on the Internet that I could use with my fifth grade class! I hope they can help others.
1. Who Will Be President? – This is a great Web Quest that has students work together to learn how people become presidents. It is perfect for fifth graders that study the election process. It is great because at the end of fifth grade the students elect who will represent them in sixth grade. This will give them some helpful tips on how to campaign. 3/17/03

2. Map
Skills Can Be Fun! – Once again another great topic for fifth grade.
We teach map skills and this is a perfect way to end the unit. It covers
climate, maps, Venn Diagrams and more. Students are having fun while still
learning.

3. Investing In Your Future – This is a great Web Quest that really gets the students thinking at a higher level. We do not talk about the stock market in my class, but I find this to be interesting. I think this would make a great challenging activity for that student that constantly needs to be challenged. We all have one of those in our class, don’t we? 3/17/03

4. Explore The Rainforest – This is a bright, well organized, Web Quest that will catch any student’s eye. The work is challenging enough to make the student think. Students have to explain why the rain forest is important and what resources we get from the rain forest. I will use this next marking period when I teach the rainforest. 3/17/03

5. Texas Indians – This is a simple Web Quest that makes the children learn about the Texas Indians. If your students study many Native Americans, this would be something different than the normal teaching style. They are learning and teaching others! 3/17/03
