Taino Indians

 

After learning how to cut and paste, students will practice what they learned by copying the questions into a new document and following the directions. Students will also further their understanding of Taino Indians by investigating a website and answering questions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Assignment:

 

What do you know about the Taino Indians? How much did you learn from reading the book, Morning Girl? After reading, Morning Girl, you will read this site and answer the following questions to further your knowledge of the Taino Indians.

 

Step 1:  Copy and Paste Everything listed from Step 2 and below!

•Open a new document

•Highlight what you want to copy

•Go to Edit Copy

•Paste the information in the new document by going to Edit Paste

•Save new document and continue working

 

Step 2:  Activate Prior Knowledge

         •What do you know about the Taino Indians?

         •How does this activity relate to the book you just read?

         •What is one piece of information you would like to learn about the Taino Indians?

4.    When the Spanish settlers came to the island, what caused most of the Indians to become ill and die?

5.    Why were the Spanish and modern sociologists impressed with the Taino Culture?
