Pornography Assignment
To My Students:
When accessing the internet you as students are to be aware that there are pornographic sites on the internet, this I am sure that you are all aware of. Though we are provided with filters that help us weed out these sites, they are not 100% effective. When you are given an assignment that requires you to go and use websites as a tool, be prepared to be bombarded with all different types of sites, which on the surface may look innocent, but are meant to reel you in and send you directly to a pornographic website. People have made their livings this way by targeting domains on the internet and selling them to pornographic companies. Each time you click onto a pop-up that looks innocent and clean, they are profiting from your curiosity.
As your teacher, I am instructing you each time a pop-up occurs while using the internet during class that you close it out. Do not click on any “Enter Here” or “Ok” buttons, they are rigged to send you straight to those sites, simply click on the “X” box in the right hand corner of the pop-up and close it out. I, as your teacher will do my best to look over these sites that I assign to you and check and make sure that I can filter as much as I can for you, so that you will not be exposed.
If,
by chance that you do click on a pop-up and you find yourself and your computer
exposed to a graphic site, please notify your teacher (me) immediately. As soon as you contact your teacher, please
turn off your screen immediately until your teacher arrives to avoid exposing
other students to the graphic material on the monitor. Once your teacher arrives, he/she will try
and use Ctrl + Alt +
If you (student) run into this problem at home while using the computer for an assignment, you may have to restart your computer. We as teachers understand that sometimes it is not always the students’ fault that he/she finds themselves at these sites due to the scams. These sites have sometimes been rigged and we do our best to provide our students with clean links that we ourselves have checked, but in return you as students must cooperate as well. Please do not click on pop-ups that have nothing to do with your assignments and please try and contain your curiosity, because sometimes it can get you into trouble. Please stick to your assignments and follow the directions given to you by your teacher. If you don’t need a particular site, do not click on it; don’t put yourself out there at the risk of exposure to such graphic nature, and to some
Porn-napper’s profit and gain.
