Objective: Students will be able to create a list of favorite sites and organize them according to subjects or interests.
Introduction: The Internet provides a plethora of sites on every imaginable subject. Technology users need to be able to organize often-visited sites in an easy way. Internet Explorer has a “Favorites” tool designed to help you do just that. You can reach your favorite places on the internet with a simple click or two.
Activity: As you do assignments for this course, or as you are just moseying around the internet, you may organize sites of interest. For this activity, you will organize sites into three different folders under the “Favorite” button.
Ø Click on “Favorites”
Ø Click on “Add” A box will be displayed.
Ø On the right hand side of the box there is a button titled “Create in” Click on “Create in”
Ø You will see a list of folders you have created.
Ø Select the folder where to want to find this site by clicking on the folder icon
Ø Then click the “OK” button on the upper right side of the box
Ø Your site is now in that folder!
Ø Click on the folder where the site is located
Ø Click on the name of the site
Assignment: Create three “Favorites” folders. Put at least two sites in each folder.
Submission: Send an email to your instructor. In the email, list the each of the three favorite folders you have created, and give at least two linked sites. Example:
Dear Amazing Instructor,
Please find three of my “Favorites” folders and sites below.
