You get many results for each search you perform so it is essential to use specific searches to find relevant information. Teoma uses subject-specific popularity to rank the results. This means they analyze the website and the ones associated with it and rank them based on how many times they see your topic in the webpages. Great so that you can find links to what you are looking for instead of doing multiple searches. Teoma is one of the first to have this type of ranking.

This search engine is huge. It has access to over 8 billion websites that are updated regularly. It ranks pages by popularity using page rank. If your search returns no result do to a misspelled word, google will give you alternate spelling or ask you if you mean... It ignores the articles you use when you search because you will have too many hits. Boolean search is very easily used even when not on the advanced search page. You can include " " and the word and to add to your query or you can use words like or to limit your query. Very quick in returning results and very accurate with summaries of pages found.
