This is a bibliography of useful
web publications for physical education teachers. These publications provide
current issues, trends, and events in the world of physical education. I hope
this list of resources is helpful to all physical education teachers.
PE
Update- This site is clear, organized and easy to navigate. PE
Update provides useful information concerning the happenings in the physical
education world. The site also provides articles about popular games and
activities to incorporate in lessons. Videos are provided as an additional
resource. An example of an article found on PE Update is ÒCoaching: Improve Youth Athlete Retention by Focusing on
Skills Not Tactics.Ó The negative thing about this site is in order to access

Education
Week- This site provides overall general information in the field of
education. This site is great for teachers of all ages and subject areas
because the content focuses on education as a whole. The site is designed
similar to a news site. There are popular articles and recent events in school
listed on the home page. The site also has blogs, discussions, videos, and
webinars so teachers can discuss with other teachers or just read what other
teachers are doing. A sample article title is ÒFixing the Problems of High

Teacher Magazine- This online publication is similar to
Education Week. This site provides a section for top discussions and also a
link that separates articles by topics. A sports and fitness topic is an option
and when selected, the page provides many useful articles in the field of
physical education in sports. A sample article title is ÒHigh School Sports

Early
Childhood News- This site provides information for teachers and
parents with children from infant to age 8. This site is very well organized
and designed. All the links are neatly listed on the left side of the page with
an entire link for ÒMovement, Play, and Physical Activity.Ó A sample article
from this section is ÒBrain Fitness: Connecting Exercise and Learning.Ó This
site also provides activities, craft ideas, music ideas and lesson plan ideas

Radical
Teacher- This site provides a different point of view in to the
world of teaching. It is a socialists, feminists, and anti-racists journal on
the theory and practice of teaching. The publication focuses on critical
teaching practice, the political economy of education, and institutional
struggles. A sample of an article from this site is ÒTwisted Privileges: Terms of
Inclusion in Feminist Teaching.Ó The negative is this site requires a
