This is an annotated bibliography of useful websites to find educational sports videos. Each of these websites provides something different for a physical education teacher to teach about various types of sports, events in sports, and people in sports. These videos can be useful to a physical education teacher because they may not always have the space or equipment to teach some sports so the videos can help teach the students about sports they won’t be able to participate in during class. It is also useful to provide examples of what a sport should look like when it is played and who are some key players in the professional world of sports.

Strike Football- This site has many videos on all sorts of topics. It is mainly a site about soccer (the sport the rest of the world calls football). This site allows the user to browse popular videos about famous teams and players, top moments in the world cup, top goals and more. Extreme Sports Channel- This site provides many different videos about extreme sports. This is a useful site because many students may not know about extreme sports and most are not learned in schools. By browsing the videos on the homepage or searching for a specific sport or event, students can learn about a greater variety of sports. http://www.extreme.com/

ESPN Videos- This site provides videos of all current and past sporting events. This is useful when teaching students about historical events in sports or current events in sports. The most popular videos are listed together on the right side of the page and right down the middle of the page is the latest videos. CSTV Videos- This site is very clean and well organized. It provides more than 4,000 videos of college sports. Users have the options of watching live games or just watching highlights and other notable events. Most popular videos, latest videos, and top rated videos. This site can be useful in the classroom to show students the difference in high school sports and college sports. CBS Sports Videos- This site is a one-stop shop for all sports videos. The videos include archives of sporting events as well as current events in sports. Users can browse “Top Videos,” browse by sport, or search a specific video or event.
