Physical Education Lesson Plans
This page is meant to provide physical education teachers with useful links to find quality lesson plans. The sites listed were all found by searching google and yahoo and are listed in order of usefulness. I hope that P.E. teachers find these links to be helpful.
PE Central- This site is very organized and provides hundreds of great quality PE lesson plans as well as many other links to useful sites. There is an option to search the site to find a specific lesson plan. However, finding the right lesson plan is easy considering they are all categorized by age level and they type of activity (health, dance, cooperation, holiday, assessment, etc.). www.pecentral.org/lessonideas/pelessonplans.html
Lesson Plans Page- This site is useful, organized and provides great quality lesson plans for the PE teacher. The lesson plans are first separated by grade level and then categorized by the type of activity (games and relay, health and fitness, sports, etc.). An added benefit of this site is the availability of lessons, which incorporate other subjects like art, music, language arts, and science. www.lessonplanspage.com/PE.htm
Education World- This site provides fewer lesson plans but good quality plans at the same time. The lesson plans are easy to find because they are organized by games, exercise/movement, and team sports. This is a great site to check for quality lesson plans but there are not enough of them. www.education-world.com/a_tsl/archives/pe.shtml
A to Z Teacher Stuff- This site only provides 29 PE lesson plans. Each of these lessons are useful and of good quality. They are all categorized by grade level, which makes it easy to find the one you are looking for. It would be nice if there was a wider variety. www.atozteacherstuff.com/Lesson_Plans/Physical_Education/index.shtml
ABC Teach- This site provides great quality lesson plans for sports. The sports included are baseball, basketball, football, golf, ice hockey, swimming, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. There are not very many lesson plans available, but the few that are on the site are very useful. http://abcteach.com/directory/basics/sports_physical_education/
Physical Education Lesson Plans- This site allows teachers to post and share lesson plans. The site provides a general list of 153 lesson plans with no organization or categorizing of type of activity. However, the lesson plans are easy to read and understand. http://members.tripod.com/~pazz/lesson.html
