This wiki contains an incredible collection of resources for teachers and older students.  Content includes links to many tools including video sharing, pictures, audio, presentations and writing tools.  It is really a one- stop shop for access to the latest technology available on the web.  There are also many links to sites for various subjects including math, science, writing and even classroom management.  You could spend hours checking out the cool tools! Another comprehensive wiki developed by media specialists to provide information about new web tools,  The site gives examples of how to use new technology in the media center and to support teachers.  This site was created by professors from the University of Central Florida as a way to support school media specialists. Great Sites for Kids

This website is powered by Discovery education and includes a great deal of information for students and teachers.   For teachers there are lesson plans, curriculum connections, puzzle makers and games.  For students, there are facts, science project ideas, videos, clip art and many more classroom extensions. Games for Kids

 

This website purports to offer “research based and standard aligned” online arcade games.  There are games to practice math skills as well as language arts games which feature parts of speech.  The standards section of the website shows how the games align with the particular standard.
