Frog and Toad
We just finished reading Frog and Toad Are Friends in class. They are best friends and
enjoyed spending time together. You usually don’t see a frog or a toad hanging
out together in real life and that is why this is a fiction book. (Not to
mention they wear clothes and talk.) I’m curious to find out about real frogs
and toads. What makes them different and what might they have in common?
Look at this link about
frogs. http://www.kidzone.ws/lw/frogs/facts1.htm
Look at this link about
toads. http://www.countrysideinfo.co.uk/toads.htm
Now that you know a little
bit about each amphibian, look at this site that compares the frog and the
toad. http://www.kiddyhouse.com/Themes/frogs/frogtoaddiff.html
Use
what you have learned from each of the sites to compare the frog and the toad
on the chart below. Print out this page to write the information you have
learned and turn it in.

Frogs Toads Both
Did
Arnold Lobel do a good job creating Frog and Toad
based on real frogs and toads? Why or why not?
