Eating
Healthy Food
What do you think about when you get hungry? You probably look for something that you can eat fast when you are on the go. This activity will help you learn about making smart food choices.
1) Visit the American Heart Association’s Delicious Decisions interactive website, http://www.deliciousdecisions.org. Look at the choices that are available for the different meals throughout the day.
2) Your job is to create a menu for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a snack. Include the main ingredients that you will need for each meal. Record this information in your lab notebook.
3) Keep a tally of the total calories, total fat, and total carbohydrates for each meal that is on your menu for the day.
