WEBLINK BIBLIOGRAPHY
    This site has been created for teachers and students in the elementary grades. I have located numerous sites for teachers to use as resources in and out of the classroom, and for students to link to for help, or just to find some interesting information.  The sites involve language arts, math, science, social studies, teacher sites and fun sites.  I hope you have as much fun using them as I did!

Author Studies Homepage
    This is part of the Scholastic website.  It lists some of the favorite children's authors and information about them. The site offers tools to help with writers workshops and transcripts of author interviews.

Carol Hurst’s Children's Literature Site – Reviews and Teaching Ideas for Kids Books
    This website had book reviews of children's literature and provides other links related to the topic of the book. Activities are included that go along with the subject of the book and hints are given to teachers on where to focus their instruction with the book.

Eric Carle Website

    This website allows teachers and students to find out all there is to know about one of the most popular children's authors.  Eric Carle’s books are famous for showing kids different skills in hands-on fashion.  Each book is full of colorful illustrations that appeal to children.

The Reading Corner
    The Great Mona Kerby has created a website that is filled with terrific books to read. This site includes book reviews and interesting literature information.  There is a section to meet children's authors and illustrators and links to other websites are provided. This is an excellent resource for media specialists and teachers.

Scholastic Kids
    This is a great website for Elementary kids.  It could be a useful program for kids during ILA. The site is easy to navigate so students can have fun while they learn.     What a great interactive site!  AAA Math provides hundreds of pages of Basic Math Skills. Each page includes Interactive Practice, an Explanation of the math topic, and several Challenge Games!

Illuminations
    This is a specific and important part of the National Council of Teacher Mathematics (NCTM) website. This site provides resources to help improve the teaching and learning of mathematics for all students. It also contains lesson plans, web resources and interactive math tools. I really like this site, because there is a definite link to the standards, and the lessons come directly from the best math experts in our country.

    This site is great for teachers who need some ideas for math lesson plans.  The Math Forum is an Internet Mathematics Library. You can easily enter the grade level you are looking for or click on the subject you need and receive tons of lesson plans.

    This is another great resource for the math educator!  There are a lot of different areas to choose from that will help with instruction. Frogs and Toads
    Can you tell the difference between a frog and a toad?  This site provides information about each of them. The anatomy, diet, and life cycle of the frog and the toad are discussed.   This site can be used for either teachers or students to obtain information on many different creatures and subject areas.  It also contains links to printouts for students’ use.

    This page has a lot of experiments for kids to do... and they are easy enough that kids can do them on their own. The site makes each experiment seem like a "spell".  It explains the “spell” and then it explains the science behind it.

Solar System Tour
    What an interesting site!  You can go on a virtual tour of the solar system. You can listen to and watch a film about ~ any planet, the sun, the moon, a comet, and the Astrid belt. The tour of the planet includes an introduction and it discusses the subjects many unique features.  Then you can explore it on your own!
