This web link bibliography contains sites that deal with the
class Modern World History. The class is for high school students and covers
the time of Renaissance and Reformation to the Cold War. The websites are for both the students
and the teachers.
Renaissance
Renaissance, The Elizabethan World--This
website contains primary sources with information of how people lived, the laws
of the times, a specific treason trial, and other numerous Renaissance

Virtual
Renaissance--This site has three main pages. The first two are
directed toward students, giving them a tour of Renaissance Europe with
pictures and interactions with a factious character. The second page
contains information where the student can choose a character they would like
to be and read about them. The third site is for teachers that gives them

European Explorers--This
website can be used as a quick reference to find explorers. The site is
organized very well with the grouping of explorers from their native
country. This site also contains teacher resources including lesson plans

of the Enlightenment--A plan website with great information on the
Enlightenment. This site can be used to accompany the textbook and

site contains very specific information about the Industrial Revolution
including workshops, changes, day in the life, and cartoons from the industrial

The
Ottoman Empire: 1350-1918--This site has a chronology of events of the
Ottoman Empire. The website is easy to read and be very helpful for
students in finding events that established and lead to the downfall of the

War One--This site includes in depth information about British soldiers in
World War I. Original pictures are also shown. The site also

of World War II--The site includes all submarines used in World War II with
a detailed explanation and picture. Also includes historical background
of the submarine. The setup is easy to follow and can be useful for
