All teachers need a little help from time to time.  I have compiled this list of 5 links that will take you to pages full of ideas for social studies lessons!  Every topic you can imagine is addressed on at least one of the links, so enjoy exploring; I know you’ll find something amazing!!

Social Studies Plans (6th-8th): This link will take you to 81 links to social studies lessons which cover topics from geography, government, and world trade.  The lesson plans are easy to read and provide all the information needed for another teacher to successfully complete the lessons.

Unit & Lesson Plans This link takes teaches to a list of 168 units.  Each unit is then broken down into lessons.  The author and the school system from which the lesson came are given.  There is also a place where teachers can review the lesson and read the reviews of others.  This site is very specific and would be a great site for first year teachers or long time teachers who are looking for new ideas.

More Lessons!! This site provides more social studies lessons!  Some of the lessons provide links to necessary worksheets or other sites.   Most of the lessons even give a description of the grading rubric.  There is also a link where the teachers can e-mail the teacher who posted the lesson.  This site is mainly lesson plans, but also includes some Unit Plans.
