As you know, we have been studying the causes and different battles of the French and Indian War.  Today, you are going to use the Internet to learn about one of the techniques that the Indians used against the British.  Visit the following website and read the passages you find there:

2- What are common words, phrases, or ideas are seen in the passages?

 

3- Why would the Europeans pay the “savages” for scalps?

 

4- Did the Europeans ever allow scalping?

 

5- Use the dictionary to get a definition for the word “savage”.  Why did the Europeans feel that the Indians were savage?

As we continue our unit on the French and Indian War, we will learn about some of the tactics that the English use.  Our final activity will be an essay comparing Europeans and Indian tactics, so make sure your answers to this activity are detailed and thorough!
