From 1997 to 2003, I have been fortunate to hold the position as MESA coordinator at Murray Hill Middle School . This has been a very successful program which promotes student created projects for county and statewide competition. We have been very successful and received many awards each year. Along with multiple project awards for individual groups, we have won the All-County Championship every year from 1998 to 2003. Additionally we won the All-State Championship for 1999, 2000, and 2001. As their coordinator, I also received the Howard County MESA Teacher of the Year award in 2000. This has been a wonderful opportunity for growth and achievement. I would hope to continue to be a MESA coordinator throughout my teaching career.
