Objectives:

1. Students will be able to find different sites that offer products they would find useful in a classroom.

2. Students will be able to decide what products they would like to purchase if given the opportunity.

Introduction:

The Internet is a vast resource for a large variety of educational purposes. Teachers can find such things as lesson ideas, assessment ideas, and rubrics. Many educational sites also offer products that can be purchased for educational uses. This activity will explore some of these teacher stores and find different products that you may find useful for your content area.

Activity:

Develop a query that you will use to find different sites that offer these types of educational products for sale. There are a large number of sites that offer these products, so you may want to narrow your search to your area of teaching. The school district has given you a budget of $500 to make purchases, decide what products you would choose.

Assignment:

Using the products that you chose in the activity. Create a list of the products you would purchase. The list should include a link the site where you can buy the product, the price of the product, and a paragraph describing how you would use or students would benefit from the product.
