Write Your Own Fairy Tale

As we come to a close in our fairy tale unit, you will be planning, writing, and publishing your own fairy tale. Your finished project will need to be typed using a word processing application and will be printed to include in our class book of fairy tales to be included in our reading corner.

When you feel confident in creating your own fairy tale, remember the fairy tale elements we talked about in class: magic, things happen in threes, good characters, bad characters, animals talk, and stories begin with “once upon a time…”

Follow this link to print your own plan page. You can write directly on it. Then, use your plan to write your rough draft in your writing journal. After you have moved through the writing process of drafting and peer editing, bring your rough draft to me at our editing table. After the necessary corrections are made, you will move to a computer station to type your final copy.
