INTRODUCTION – How do you feel when your parents give you a new chore to do around the house? What is it like when your teachers make a new rule for the class to follow? Well, I’m sure you can sympathize with the colonists then. There were many new rules (acts) placed on them by the British Parliament after the French and Indian War. These policies angered the colonists for many reasons. The colonies and Britain couldn’t seem to agree on any of these new rules. One event led to another, which ultimately created the Revolutionary War.

CONCLUSION – The events that you just learned about led to the American Revolution. Because the colonists stood up for themselves, and what they believed in, we are who we are today. They helped us gain independence from Britain and they shaped our country to what is today. By completing this assignment, you should have a deeper understanding of why our laws and government are the way they are.
