Tiger Art- The tiger art website is a clever way to show parents the artwork students have completed in class.  The site is small, but includes links to classes ranging from kindergarten through third grade. There is also a newsletter that lets parents know what is going on in the classroom and how they can be of assistance.  The schedule section of the site was a little confusing to an outside source, but it looks to contain a list of the different teachers and what time they go to art(do you mean art of different classes?) each week.

Recommendations:

-         Add more art links for students to use.  There are only two in the website.  Also it would be nice to see art links for parents too.

-         Give background information on the schedule.

-         The newsletter sections should contain past newsletters just in case a parent was unable to check the site for a couple of weeks.

Commendations:

-         I like how there is a link to the main webpage for the school.  That is very helpful for parents.  It also encourages parents to visit the school's website.

-         Being able to see the students’ work is a great idea.  Parents can even make their child’s artwork the background on their computers at home or work

-         I enjoyed her "Thank You" message at the bottom of the page.  It is also helpful to have links placed at the bottom of each page.

Mr. Rickey’s Webpage -Mr. Rickey’s site is for his fourth grade class.  This page looks like it is not kid friendly and only used by parents.  Parents would find is useful in case their child is forgetting assignments or absent from school.

Recommendations:

-         This site should have a section just for students to use.  There really is no need for students to use this site right now.

-         Give more explanation on the student work for past years.  It was very confusing why the kids had numbers and not names.

-         The site is very helpful, however it is boring.  It could use some color or pictures.  Plus I had to do some searching before finding out what grade Mr. Rickey taught.

Commendations:

-         The homework section is helpful.  It spelled out exactly what the students need to be doing and why.

-         He has links to the schools webpage and the different teachers in the school as well.

-         It is very convenient to be able to assess his email right from the website.
