Introduction:
Geometry is a very interesting type of
mathematics. There are several types of
Geometry but only one that is considered in most High School classrooms, which
is Euclidean Geometry. In class we have
been studying Euclidean Geometry and have not had the time to study the many
other types of Geometry. Click
here to review the different types.
Activity:
Make a PowerPoint Presentation on two of the
Geometries. Please choose one Euclidean
type and one non-Euclidean type. The
presentation will be presented to the class and should be five to eight slides
long. Make sure to use interesting
facts so that class can get a good idea of why there are different types of
Geometry. Once you create your
presentation, make a flow chart showing where the split in the different types
occur.
