Lesson Plans Online for 2^nd Grade

This is a list of the top five websites that provide already made lesson plans for 2^nd grade teachers. The list is in no particular order.

Education World – This site is great! It has lesson plans divided into seasonally applicable categories, such as Fall and Halloween. You can also do a search to dig through the thousands of plans available. I especially like the 5-minute filler ideas and the writing bug plans on this page.

Teachers.net – This site allows you to search for a lesson plan, browse a category of lesson, submit a lesson, and even request a topic that you would like to see a lesson on in the future. The lessons plans that I looked at seemed very creative and manageable. http://www.teachers.net/lessons - visited 10/12/03.

A to Z Teacher Stuff Network – This site provides lesson plans either already divided into categories or allows you to search for lesson plans. Ask Eric – This site has tons of lesson plans. All you have to do is click on the subject and it gives you sub-subjects to choose from. The only downfall to this site is that it doesn’t separate by grade level, but the lessons are still really good. http://askeric.org/Virtual/Lessons - visited 10/12/03

Lesson Plans Page.com – This website has thousands of lesson plans that can easily be searched by using key words. The lesson plans are straight text, but really good. www.lessonplanspage.com – visited 9/20/03
