Fun Poetry using

Kids of all ages love to read and write poems, especially funny ones! Poetry comes in many different forms, and you will learn how to write a poem of your own using a form called a clerihew. You will view the website called Giggle Poetry to learn about a clerihew, and you will read a few examples of this poetry type written by Kenn Nesbitt, author of  "The Aliens Have Landed!".

Assignment:

After reading about a clerihew, you will choose either a character from a book you are currently reading in class, or a character or person your teacher assigns you, and compose your own clerihew. For your rough copy, you may print out the page with the clerihew rules. Your final copy should be completed as your teacher directs.
