Acting
For students expecting to enter an M.F.A. or conservatory program
in acting after graduation.
Prerequisites:
- Theatre major/dual major/minor
- Acting 1113
- Experience as an actor in college productions
- Audition: spring of sophomore year or fall of junior year
- Students must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA overall and a 3.0
GPA in the Theatre Arts Department.
Requirements:
- Two advanced courses in Acting (fall of junior and senior
years): Scene Study, Voice and Movement, Acting Styles, Special
Topics
- Drama Workshop (spring of either junior or senior year)
- Two Performance Labs (spring of junior and senior years)
- Teaching Assistant for Acting 1113/1151
- Professional workshops or internship at a professional theatre
- Reaudition in spring of junior year or fall of senior year
- Preparation of graduate school audition (fall of senior year)
