Acting

For students expecting to enter an M.F.A. or conservatory program in acting after graduation.

Prerequisites:

• Theatre major/dual major/minor
• Acting 1113
• Experience as an actor in college productions
• Audition: spring of sophomore year or fall of junior year
• Students must have and maintain a 2.5 GPA overall and a 3.0 GPA in the Theatre Arts Department.

Requirements:

• Two advanced courses in Acting (fall of junior and senior years): Scene Study, Voice and Movement, Acting Styles, Special Topics
• Drama Workshop (spring of either junior or senior year)
• Two Performance Labs (spring of junior and senior years)
• Teaching Assistant for Acting 1113/1151
• Professional workshops or internship at a professional theatre
• Reaudition in spring of junior year or fall of senior year
• Preparation of graduate school audition (fall of senior year)
