Alpha Psi Omega
Xi Epsilon Cast

The national fraternity of Alpha Psi Omega was founded in 1925 as a brotherhood for groups of dedicated, theatre-loving college students. McDaniel College's Xi Epsilon Cast was established in 1983. Our goal is to promote and support all aspects of the theatre arts (and to have a fun while we're doing it.)

Over the years we've instilled some traditions that have made our organization a valuable and productive student group supporting the McDaniel College theatre department. By talking to other Alpha Psi casts and by visiting other web pages, we have gotten some good ideas. Here are some of our activities:

• participating in Alpha Psi Omega Project for Youth - shows and workshops educating children and high school students about the arts
• organizing a concessions stand for every show
• making Alpha Psi sweatshirts and t-shirts
• creating a banquet/show at the end of the year called "Harveys" (named after a ghost in the theatre)
• organizing a formal ball for Alpha Psi members, faculty, and friends active in the theatre
• constructing a homecoming float
• creating an elaborate education and induction process for new Alpha Psi members
• participating in Spring Fling (last year we were a band of fortune-telling gypsies)
• subsidizing students' admission fees to the American College Theatre Festival (ACTF)
• financially assisting student stage managers when they buy opening night gifts for the casts
• aiding with story-telling for the College Activity Board's "Ghost Walk"
• hosting a Haunted House for Halloween
