Social Studies Lesson Plans and Resources
This site offers ideas for Social Studies lessons and teaching strategies.  It includes a Webquest page with links to training information and Web-based lesson plans and activities developed by teachers from many different states, as well.  There are 95 lesson plans on this site, including, but not limited to, lessons on government, civil rights, women's suffrage, the legal system, and economics.  This entire site is great for secondary social studies teachers!

Discovery School
This site provides K-12 teachers with a variety of topics to use or include in their lessons.  There are a great amount of topics concerning contemporary studies, American history, and World history for 9th-12th grade teachers.  The contemporary studies lesson plans are my favorite because they include topics such as Understanding Stereotypes, Culture and Obesity, and Human Rights!  If you go to DiscoverySchool.com you can browse lesson plans by grade or by subject.
