McDaniel College Music Camp 2008 General Information 2008 Camp Information The McDaniel College Summer Music Camp will be held from Sunday, June 22, through Saturday, June 28, 2008. Tuition for commuting students with the meal plan is $450.00. Tuition for camp residents is $600.00. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due by May 23, 2008 in order to hold a place for you in the camp. (A specific number of instruments will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.) The balance will be due by June 12, 2008. Please make note of these dates. Make all checks payable to: McDaniel College. Students will be housed in the Blanche Ward Dormitory on campus. Two students will be assigned to each room. If you have a room-mate preference, please indicate so on the application. Check-in time will be between 2:00 and 4:00 pm for resident campers. Commuters will check-in between 4:00 and 4:30 pm. Check-out will be on Saturday morning before the final concerts. The concerts are scheduled for 9:00 and 10:15 am on June 28, 2008. Students will not know their check-out or concert times until after they have auditioned and been placed into an ensemble.

2003 Slide Show | 2001 Slide Show Camp Photo Gallery There are two bands, each conducted by Mr. Jay Bocook and Mr. Bryan Eber. The groups are identified by the college's school colors, green and gold. The green band is a medium level group, and the gold band is a more advanced level ensemble. Auditions will be held for both groups after students check in for camp. This will determine which group the student will participate in and their check-out time and concert time for the final day of camp.     Family Discount: We offer a family discount of $35.00 off the tuition fee for a second student who wishes to attend the camp. Eligibility: Entering grades 7-12.

Scholarship Information

*Please read all of the information below if applying for a scholarship!

Any applicant that is applying for a scholarship must submit their application, $100.00 deposit, and a program dated for this year (2008) indicating the students participation in an All-County or All-State Band. Students who participated in either an All-County or All-State band will automatically receive a scholarship. There is a limit of one scholarship per student; i.e., if you participated in both county and state band, you will receive the higher amount of financial assistance. Do not send the program separately; students will not be considered for a scholarship if the program arrives separately.
