Robin Armstrong
associate professor; Ph.D.,

Dr. Armstrongs'
specialties include the history, interpretation, and performance of
early music, music in the African-American traditions and a variety
of popular music styles.

Margaret Boudreaux
professor; D.M.A.,
University of Colorado;
Dr. Boudreaux is active as
a guest conductor throughout the region and is currently performing
and publishing her own editions and arrangements of choral music. Her
choirs have performed at The Kennedy Center, The National Cathedral,
The Hartt School of Music, and for conferences of the College Music
Society and the Music Educator's National Conference.

Eric Byrd
lecturer; MM-Morgan State
University
Mr. Byrd has opened for and/or played with Wynton Marsalis, Vanessa
Rubin,
Kenny Burrell, Charlie Byrd, and many others. He has recorded a solo
CD
and one with his group, The Eric Byrd Trio.

Glenn Caldwell
professor (chair), Ph.D.,
Ohio State University;
Dr. Caldwell is an active
composer and arranger, most recently doing orchestrations for Stevie
Wonder's "Natural Wonder Tour" (Europe), "American Idol" winner Ruben
Studdard, Tramaine Hawkins, and the Lionel Hampton Orchestra with
featured vocalist Chaka Khan, and numerous other orchestras. Dr.
Caldwell presently oversees the computer aided instruction in theory
and composition.

Steven "Bo" Eckard;
senior lecturer; B.A.,
Loyola College
Mr. Eckard is the Director of Jazz Studies at McDaniel College,
McDaniel College Electric Bass and Jazz ensembles, and is regionally
known as a performer, songwriter, and studio musician. He has
performed in a variety of settings, including the Kennedy Center.

Kyle Engler
senior lecturer; MM,
Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University
Ms. Engler has been featured with several orchestras throughout the
East Coast and in the summer of 2002 toured Japan with the Washington
Opera. Ms. Engler was a founding member of the New Horizons
Contemporary Chamber Ensemble and the Morpheus Trio.

David Kreider
senior lecturer; D.M.A.,
Catholic University of America;
A previous Fulbright
scholar in Vienna, Austria, Dr. Kreider has received recognition for
his artistic contributions, most notably at Carnegie hall. He is the
founder and Artistic Director of Chamber Music on the Hill.

Linda Kirkpatrick
senior lecturer; D.M.A.,
University of Maryland, flute performance and pedagogy, conducting,
1997
Dr. Kirkpatrick directs the college band, student chamber music
series and teaches instrumental conducting. She also performs with
The Mistral Winds Quintet, and is the administrator of the college
summer music camp and Community Music Program.
Areas of particular teaching interest: Professor Boudreaux: choir,
music history; Professor Caldwell: theory and composition; Professor
Armstrong: music history and world music, early music, jazz history;
Senior Lecturer Kreider: piano, piano pedagogy, film music, music
history; Senior Lecturer Kirkpatrick: band, flute, instrumental
conducting, chamber music, music history; Senior Lecturer Eckard:
jazz, bass; Senior Lecturer Engler: voice, musical theatre; and
Lecturer Byrd: gospel choir, jazz piano.
