McDaniel College's
DEPARTMENT OF
MUSIC
The McDaniel College Department of Music offers
opportunities for both the major and non-major student to develop
their musical talents by offering courses for both disciplined growth
and creative development.
For the musically talented, McDaniel College
offers students a program of excellence and diversity through
performance opportunities with student ensembles. Recitals and
concerts are performed each semester by faculty, students, and such
organizations as the College Choir, Band, Jazz Ensemble, and various
other performance ensembles. These ensembles also enjoy the
participation of community musicians.

Special Approach
Perhaps the department's greatest asset is the
level of individual counseling and attention each student receives.
This is true for majors, minors, and those majoring in other subjects
but significantly involved in music. Students have multiple
opportunities for involvement and work very closely with their
teachers and directors as they develop their talents.
