Lamba Iota Tau Induction Spring 2004

Lamba Iota Tau, or LIT, is the international honor society for literary studies, the McDaniel College chapter, “Delta Omicrom,” was formed in 1976.

Like membership in all honor societies, one is invited to join LIT based on a variety of criteria:

  • be of junior or senior standing, with a major or minor in literature (5th semester of college),
  • have completed at least 4 literature courses (not necessarily in English),
  • have an average g.p.a. of 3.0 in those literature courses,
  • be in the upper 35% of one's class.

Inductees of LIT must also publicly present an original work—be it scholarly or creative.
