Student Comments about Pam Regis I would say that the professor in the English Department who has had the biggest impact on me as a teacher has been Dr. Regis. I find her classes to challenge the students in ways that really make us think about the texts were a looking at, and develop our argumentative skills rather than simply memorizing mundane facts about a text. I believe she is much more interested in getting her students to realize what they know instead of trying to figure out what we don't know. I have had these same types of experiences with Dr. Kachur and Dr. Mary. I have simply taken more classes with Dr. Regis, and encourage every English major or minor I see to take as many classes with her as possible. She truly is one of the best Mcdaniel has to offer. --- Dr. Pam Regis has been an inspiration to me and my literary aspirations. She has always had a kind but realistic outlook on my work and has repeatedly encouraged me to continue my studies as far as possible. --- As Dr. Regis and I prepare to deliver papers at the L.M. Montgomery Conference on Prince Edward Island, Canada, I can honestly say nothing other than that she walks on water! --- Pam is a wonderful faculty member and an asset to the McDaniel College curriculum. She is a person who truly cares about the students who she teaches and in the process Pam reveals her true self. I was lucky enough to travel to Jane Austin's England with Pam and not only learned more than I ever wanted to know about Austin, but also I learned more than I thought I could about traveling with others, maintaining a standard while representing a university, and my fellow students. The trip was absolutely wonderful because we learned while having a great time enjoying the sights.
